Great food and awesome dessert!! The price is pretty high and the food is very comparable to Steak N' Shake but they have custard! The employees are all kind and respectful. This restaurant is always very clean. I've enjoyed all of my visits here and they have a drive through so that's awesome.

Total steak and shake copy cat. 1 star for lack of creativity..... But the worse thing was that an employee didn't was his hands after using the bathroom which totally grossed me out. Of course, this was after I ate too so I immediately regretted eating there. I pondered what would happen if I announced it to all the unsuspecting people that were scarfing their food. GROSS. Dude didn't even run the water to act like he was washing his hands. Pretty sure he was a cook too. If you have been to steak and shake don't bother coming here because it's the same thing.

Burgers are good but I wish they weren't so thin. My husband and daughter love the thin fries but I prefer thick cut fries. We all like the Freddies fry sauce. .. we dip our burgers in it also. Love the custard. Better than ice cream. Staff has always been friendly and they give military discounts.

The food here is excellent! The staff is nice and has some good recommendations. The fires are to die for and so are the burgers. If you in the area its a good place to stop and have a little lunch.

We stopped here for lunch because we had my daughter's dog with us, and they had a patio so we could sit outside and not bother anyone. It was a solid Freddy's experience except for the problems they were having with their Pepsi machine which only seemed to bother me.

My first time posting on yelp. Food was great! Like steak and shake, but much better. Was made very fast and hot and fresh! Try the chili fries!

Conflicted. So tonight, we tried the new custard place in Jeff. City. My husband and I both ordered single cheese steak burger meals. I got a California Style while he essentially got a California Style with Ketchup and Mayo instead of the Freddy's Sauce. A word to wise, don't let the cashier ring up you cheese steak burger with as a California style if you plan to remove the Freddy's sauce - it is more expensive this way (by $0.35). In fact, you could probably create a California Style steak burger by building it from a plain steak burger for $0.35 less. This is because the single steak burger is $1.00 less then it costs $0.15 for lettuce and tomato plus another $0.50 for cheese... other condiments (except bacon) are free. I hate places that do that and love to save a few cents on building my own of the same thing, why am I paying more for the same thing??? Okay, so I will move on from my soap box now... The steak burgers were surprisingly good. My husband and I are not generally fans of steak burgers as they seem to be more greasy than others plus we like to taste our meat. These guys had a good meat flavor to them and were not overly greasy - in fact, seemed nicely grilled/charred. The fries were well seasoned and had a nice golden crisp to them. They are of a similar style, size/shape of the fries that you can get at Steak N Shake... but better because of the seasoning, being less greasy, and more golden/crispy then Steak N Shake's. The Freddy's Fry Sauce was essentially a mayo based sauce with seasoning, etc in it... meh, I'll stick with Ketchup. The vanilla custard... hmm... not as good as Andy's Frozen Custard up in CoMO. It is just not as rich. It is very similar to Culver's frozen custard. The small size dish was enough for me and my husband to share happily amongst the two of us. I reviewed the mix-ins board and was disappointed; they lack a good variety of fresh berries = no raspberries or blackberries plus no peaches. So if I want a concrete with raspberries or peaches, I will drive over to Culver's. If I want blackberries, I guess I will have to continue to hold out for a drive to CoMO as Culver's generally lacks this berry option (unless its a special). If I just want custard or a candy based concrete, I can now go to either Freddy's or Culver's - depending on which side of town I am on. So, down to the ultimate question: Will we be returning? Probably. We do enjoy custard. Also, my husband noticed a Chicago Dog on the menu and is interested in trying it as he loves Chicago Dogs... he just was craving a burger tonight.

Competition would be Steak 'n Shake and Culver's. Blows them both out of the water. Great food, very FRESH, friendly staff, and a clean brand new store. I got the #7 combo meal: Bacon & Cheese Double Steakburger. Save room for dessert so you can try their custard. I got the Peanut Butter Cup & Banana Concrete. A small was enough for me. All around great lunch. No complaints. Will be back!

Stopped for a quick late lunch, the service and burgers were both great. Lives up to the old "fast and friendly" line. The thin cut crispy fries are excellent.

As the best comparison, this place outshines Steak and Shake. I enjoy the burgers and my daughters enjoy the hotdogs. The fries are very good (they are thin cut). We enjoyed the chili cheese fries.
